Re-vamping a corner

DSC_0005

After I went to Nester's, I came home all inspired and wanted re-vamp, rearrange some things.
The black book cases in the corners were making me mad...crazy. I was either going to paint them and line the back with beadboard OR put them in the dining room. The dining room has now officially become my husband's office. So he needs book cases right? And now I don't have to paint, because it matches all the dining {office} furniture now. And he's happy that it feels masculine in a world of 3 women and a female dog!

I bought white tab top curtains at IKEA, painted my $1 yard sale mirror and moved the side table to the corner. I love how it looks so seaside cottage-y with my flowy curtains. I wrapped the lamp shade with jute twine by hot-gluing it to the top and then just wrapped around to the bottom and glued the last piece down. I did the same to my lampshades on my kitchen chandy. I'll show you more on that later. What have you re-vamped lately?

  8. I love the mirror. We just painted our bedroom that color and now I have the school room and kitchen all the same color.

I've been working on slipcovering as well as a master bedroom makeover. Something about spring makes me want to re-do everything!

  10. Kristi,
I love your chandelier ! It turned out great. I bought the white tulle curtains at Ikea at $4.99 a pair -- hello ---! Then I made poms like Maria( Dreamy Whites) had on her girls beds and used those as tiebacks. I think it looks great if I do say so myself. We have so much the same taste and furnishings. I have ideas coming out the /;.;. I need to get a blog started!! Thanks for all of your inspirations!
