My Aunt Pearl passed away Tuesday morning. She was 94 and her motto was "Eat dessert first." Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for our family! You are all so dear.Today eat your dessert first in honor of Aunt Pearl.xoxo
I LOVE Aunt Pearl's motto - what a wonderful legacy she must have left! My husband is home for the summer (he's a teacher) and doesn't understand how it can be okay to sometimes have ice cream right before lunch, to have a picnic lunch in someone's bedroom or to skip naps, laundry and dishes if our Grammy has had surgery and needs a hug from her favorite grandbabies...?
We will be praying for your family and are so sorry for your loss!
So sorry for your loss of such an amazing woman. I love this photo and the last one you posted of her - what a spirit! My grandmother once read me a story about a woman who said to eat dessert first and wanted to be buried with a spoon in her hand. She got such a chuckle from that. Sending your family prayers for peace and warm memories!
Kristi, I'm so sorry for your loss. I can see that she was a beautiful woman who had a huge impact on your life. I know you carry on her legacy as you love on your own girls.
I lost a sweet older friend this week. Her motto was"save your fork, the best is yet to come." I'm sure they are enjoying heavenly dessert together. Sorry for your loss.
From the loving way you spoke of her she was one amazing woman. You were lucky to have her as long as you did. When I eat dessert first...I will think of her xox Nancy
