Slipcover Class at Nester's

Look at this gorgeous slipcover for Nester's sectional! There is no way I would've been able to do this without all the lovely gals that jumped in and sewed there little hearts out!

We started out with a little coffee, brunch and chit chat.

I really didn't need to show these girl's much...they can sew y'all. Tracey brought her serger and was the belle of the ball! She even showed us how to cut on the bias. I know. Bias?

So we sewed! I pinned the frame along with some help from Carrie and Jennifer. I featured Jennifer a couple of weeks ago on Friday's Featured Slipcovers. She just slipped her sofa. Carrie road tripped with me to Nester's...she's also my fairy blog mother.

Ellen, Lily, Kim, Jennifer, Alisan, Tracey, Nester, Tracy, Me and Carrie. {not pictured - Tiny Twig} We had a blast! It was so much fun and everyone was so nice and welcoming! I loved being a part of this!

  2. Ok, now head on over to my house because I need one of those for my sectional! I love how everyone got together to do this, what a great group of girlfriends. I think the wine helped a little too!

What is the color of your wall where your couch is?

  3. It really turned out great! How long did it take to complete? I think you should all start a side business. The traveling band of slipcovering fairies! Florida sounds like a good first stop.

  16. What an awesome job! I have a question about the white cotton duck...I can only find it online and all directions say 'dry clean only' is it safe to machine wash? Does it shrink? Thanks so much!!!
