Well...it's true to some degree. Today is my SIL's birthday. All she ever wants are cookbooks and more cookbooks. she.likes.to.cook. So, I got her The Pioneer Woman's Cookbook. We cooked...as in we, I mean SHE...cooked 4 recipes out of this book in 3 days. I kept begging for the cinnamon rolls. I mean it's her birthday, you'd think she'd want to make me some PW cinnamon rolls. Maybe next time. So we started with the Olive Cheese Bread, sour cream pancakes, chicken pot pie and the TO.DIE.FOR. Mocha Brownies. I swear those things are like crack in a pan. just sayin'... Sorry there are no pictures of the resultant food, but we ate it too quickly! Happy Birthday SIL!
How delicious!

The meatloaf--not for me {we didn't care for it}, The WORLD'S BEST CHOCOLATE cake is the BEST {I've made it 4x already!} and go to her blog and find the recipe for Fatty's Grandma's Cheez Eggs...OMG so good!

I got this cookbook for Christmas and can't wait to try some of the recipes! I'll have to find an excuse to make the brownies that doesn't involve me eating every last one. I don't think that's in the lose weight plan for this winter!
ReplyDeleteit is a GREAT cookbook. might i recommend the mac n cheese and the barbeque meatballs? oh my sakes.. comfort food to the max!
ReplyDeleteI just bought the PW cookbook today and I will defintley be making lots of the recipes in their!
ReplyDeleteI've been hearing so much about these recipes from everyone that bought the book. May have to take the plunge and get myself one sometime. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the bag you made and the apron!!! Lovely!
I made the cinnamon rolls this weekend and they are TO DIE FOR! I've never made cinnamon rolls before; they were super easy! I made a pan for my new neighbors to welcome them to the neighborhood. I have not made a recipe that I didn't like out of that cookbook. The blackberry cobbler is also delicious! And my husband loved the Cowboys Calzones. The meatloaf is good too!
