Preparing for Guests

Make sure there is a cozy place to sleep with fresh towels. I want the bed to be as comfy as possible!

I love for my guests to feel like they're staying in a bed & breakfast.

Include a bed side table with a lamp, water pitcher, stuff to read and a box of tissues.

Cozy guest spot for sleeping and then in the morning...

Make sure to serve a yummy breakfast of Multi-grain Belgian waffles with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream.

  3. This post is me in a nutshell!!! My family teases me about my home being like a Bed & Breakfast when they come. On the nightstand I have fresh flowers and I put together a pretty basket of useful and fun items for them to take home with them. Their bathroom has a basket of toiletries in case they forgot something. I cook all their favorite foods. To me it says "Welcome, I'm glad you are here"

  7. That bed is gorgeous. (I'm a new follower so I don't know if you've posted about it before.) Is it a daybed with a full/queen frame attached. I love it.

  11. The Mad Woman behind the blog,
It is a Daybed with a pop up trundle. It converts to a King. It works great for us!

  14. I agree - a CLOCK! I'd also recommend a bench to put a suitcase on (for those who don't want to put clothing into drawers), a place to hang clothing, a small bowl for jewelry, and a spot in the bathroom to put the toiletries. I travel a lot...

  19. You're such a great host! The bed looks so cozy, your guest may never want to leave. Seriously, I think that you have a very lovely guest room. I am thinking of redoing our own guest room because my friends often hang around the house and I just want to make them feel comfortable. I am completely satisfied with the stainmaster carpet (Tampa) in our house. I might repaint the room and buy a nice-looking lampshade at the thrift store. Thanks for sharing this excellent design idea.
